Studio founder, Sophie Dalglish, was nicknamed "PHOAF" by her late parents. The name is a touching reminder of the importance of belonging and becoming. Our work is dedicated to becoming.
We have two studio streams. Our statement and ready-to-wear accessories reimagine everyday wear, nudging boundaries so you don’t have to. Our bespoke, wearable art pieces are boundless, wholly devoted to the construction of fantasy.
Gratitude is never lost on us. We’re humbled by the impact of what we do, how a piece shaped by our hands finds its way into someone’s daily life, and how collaboration can lead to work so otherworldly that our pieces take on a life of their own, leaving us awed and moved to tears.
We are part of a new generation of makers, gracefully averse to the status quo. Our pieces are designed to take your breath away. The type of pieces you reach for when nothing else truly celebrates the courage it takes to become who you are against a prevailing wind.
Our work began with two desires.
a headpiece that was more than a flower crown, and a bag that could hold — and speak — volumes.
